Last day in Fredericksburg.

Well today is my last day here in Fredericksburg and it has really been enjoyable. Enjoyable enough that I will be back. Maybe next year I'll return for Oktoberfest  Tomorrow I head for Blanco and a mini family reunion next week. I'll leave you with a few random shots taken around this settlement that was founded by German immigrants, lots of neat construction.

Tents are up for Oktoberfest which is this weekend.

The rest of today will be spent getting ready to travel tomorrow, but I 'll leave time for enjoying the good life.

    1. Every town has its story to tell and I wish I had time to explore the history of each of those buildings.

  3. Great old buildings. My grandfather was a German immigrant so I found the pictures particularly interesting.

    1. There's German on my fathers side and I always felt they built so well the first time because they were too thrifty to build a second time.
