Well today is my last day here in Fredericksburg and it has really been enjoyable. Enjoyable enough that I will be back. Maybe next year I'll return for Oktoberfest Tomorrow I head for Blanco and a mini family reunion next week. I'll leave you with a few random shots taken around this settlement that was founded by German immigrants, lots of neat construction.
Tents are up for Oktoberfest which is this weekend.
The rest of today will be spent getting ready to travel tomorrow, but I 'll leave time for enjoying the good life.
What a neat little town. I love the old buildings.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe travel day.
Thanks Jo, it's a big travel day of 50 miles scheduled for tomorrow.
DeleteI love those old towns. the architecture, the history, the townspeople. glad you enjoyed your visit there.
ReplyDeleteEvery town has its story to tell and I wish I had time to explore the history of each of those buildings.
DeleteGreat old buildings. My grandfather was a German immigrant so I found the pictures particularly interesting.
ReplyDeleteThere's German on my fathers side and I always felt they built so well the first time because they were too thrifty to build a second time.
DeleteHave a safe journey and I will see you soon. Meeting Angie and Joe in Hannibal Sunday to celebrate your birthday and Mark's 60th. Be safe.
ReplyDeleteHow come I wasn't invited?
DeleteYou mean you weren't invited to your own birthday party?? Hmm...
ReplyDeleteSort of looks that way doesn't it.
