I've got wheels

For the first time in five years there was no blog entry yesterday, but not without good cause. I was on the trail of a certain PT Cruiser that I had purchased 10 days ago that seemed very elusive. I called the dealer at noon yesterday and both the people I asked to speak with were busy with customers. I asked for a callback. The next call was a 2 pm after no call back had been made. The person who answered to phone put me on hold while he transferred the call. 5 minutes later I hung up and called again. Oops, Javi answered the phone. He said the car was ready and he was on the way. An hour later I called to see if he was getting close to completing the 30 mile trip from the dealer and he was just getting ready to leave. Another hour and a half and I get a call that he is almost here. 6:30 and he finally pulls up hands me the key as his ride pulls up, he jumps in and off they go. At least the is a car on my site....finally.

What a difference a day makes. Yesterday at this time we were in the mid 90's and today we are in the mid 50's. I'm guessing the cold front might have passed through. Tomorrow we start working our way back up and 90's are again in the forecast by Wednesday.

Today I will be in the weekend mode  enjoying several football games and staying out of the breeze. With wheels I will be better able to enjoy the good life.

    2. I hope it runs well and this is the end of all the stress you've had to go through getting it.I wonder if a report the the BBB would be of help to the next unsuspecting customer of theirs.....

    3. I said the same thing the other day put in a report to the BBB. The next person might really get raped if you don't. If they handle all their customers the same way they probably already have a file on them.

Start checking you vehicle from top to bottom starting with checking the fluids such as Transmission, Engine, Brakes and Coolants. Otherwise you could have a timebomb on your hands. Be Safe and Enjoy!

      It's about time.

    4. BBB only deals with conflict resolution and the process takes over 45 days. Seeing as there is no unresolved complaint it's not something they will deal with.

Seriously, I have owned a vehicle before and am aware of vehicle maintenance. I'm also aware the the vehicle is 7 years old mechanical things break. It's a risk I assumed.

  3. Nice wheels! Now you can have even more fun enjoying your good life. You never lack for options. Hope the weather warms up for you a bit, and the games all end well. Still gonna want a picture of you behind the steering wheel, in your new PT Cruiser. Now you can always say you're doing PT when you're driving around. Good way to stay fit and active.

    1. Absolutely love the idea of doing PT while sitting behind the wheel. That's my idea of a great workout.

  4. I would take a good long ride in it to make sure nothing on the dash flashes at you. But it is pretty and I wish you all the best of luck with it. If I was there I would throw some change in it for good luck. I have no idea where this tradition started but we always did on the east coast.

  6. I'm so glad you got that car. Don't forget to put reviews out on Angie's List and Yelp. With service like that no one would want to buy a car from them for fear of a repeat situation.
