It took a week

It took a week, but the black cloud that follows me around finally arrived last night. For the first time since I left here in the spring the area received significant rain. Starting about 6:30 pm the weather radio start alarming. This was not totally unexpected after a day when temperatures reached 106 degrees and the humidity was running in the 90+% range all day. In the first 45 minutes we had accumulated an inch and a half of the wet stuff and when it was finally all finished the total was right at two inches.Today the temperature is mid 80's and the humidity is 68%, which is a lot more to my liking.

I'm still waiting to hear about the Cruiser, but I'm sure hoping something will happen soon. I'm to the point where the cupboard is bare and if I don't hear something soon Mel and I are going to have to head for Wally World.

Other than that, things are mostly quiet around here. The Cardinals won last night and can wrap up their series with the Giants tonight and then it's on to the World Series. Time to go get the mail and see if anyone sent me any money to help me enjoy the good life.

  1. You get money in the mail? I'm still waiting for the Nigerian dictator who is my long lost uncle to send me my millions. I gave him all my bank account information and passwords.

I need that money because for some strange reason all my checks have started to bounce...

    1. I did the same thing and am still waiting, too. I have several funds from overseas that I have agreed to assist in getting their funds transferred to this country and any day now I will probably be able to order my Prevost.

  6. I wonder if thats the same guy who sent me an e=mail. Well we should all be rich soon. John once that check comes you can also buy a new Cruiser. Speaking of which. I would ask for a loner car in the meantime or maybe a different car all together.

    1. I get those email almost every week, nobody's delivered yet.

These guys are a small dealership and don't have any loners. I haven't had a car for 5 years so a few more days won't hurt.

  7. The waiting drives me crazy. No matter what it is I'm waiting for. I keep trying to learn that patience lesson but no luck yet. Hope the car shows up shortly.

    1. After awhile I figured out getting all upset didn't make things move any quicker and now I just sit back and let it happen.
