And on it goes.

Another day with no car and another promise broken. I talked to the salesman, Javi, yesterday morning and he apologized for not delivering the car on Saturday as promised, saying the got busy, and again promised he would get it to me later in the day on Monday. Monday came and went and once again he was a no show. This morning we have a new twist, they are not answering my calls. Everything is going to voice mail. I have called Javi's number and I have called the business number and I've done that every hour on the hour. I have also sent three e-mails to their address with no response. The problem is they are 30 miles away and I don't have transportation to get to them. It has crossed my mind to report the whole incident to the police under misappropriation of a vehicle and then let them deal with it. The problem would still be a car that's 30 miles away and me with no way to get there.

Yesterdays appointment with the clinic to leave some blood went without incident and the park manager was nice enough to give me a lift to get there. Three vials were drawn so the tech will have plenty of ammunition to play with for the next couple of days.

Last night my mighty Cardinals went down in flames as they ingloriously ended there season by getting severely thumped. Now on to the football season.

The rest of the day will be spent on the phone until I finally reach someone on the other end and get an explanation of what they intend to do to make things right. In spite of this I am still enjoying the good life.

  1. Kathy suggested calling the local police to see if there have been any other complaints because they could be scamming more then just you and the law would like to know that.

Leaving them a threat of reporting them to the Better Business Bureau might also get them moving. I did it to Keystone, fridge now at the dealer waiting for my arrival with the trailer.

Third option would be to take a cab down to get the car and have them pay for it or you go to the local news media with your story. That'll close their doors quick.

    It's about time.

    1. I just heard from Javi and the reason his phone was going to voice mail because he is at the hospital at the bedside of his 87 year old grandmother who was admitted yesterday afternoon. Things are now right side up again.

    2. Sounds like a stall to me. He could have had someone else from the dealership deliver the car to you. Yes we all put family before business but it doesn't help you to Enjoy the Good Life.

    1. Down here in this part of the country, folks seem to have a lot of grandmothers.

  3. My friend Guido from Brooklyn is running a two-for-one special, two broken legs for the price of one. Would you like his phone number?

  4. So sorry to hear no car again. I had high hopes that you would have a few pictures on the blog of your new beast.

This just sounds to crazy to be a simple, "I got busy." If we were there, we take you over and get to the bottom of the excuses. Hope you befriend someone in the park that would drive you over.

  5. I would not be a happy camper. Even if the story about his grandmother is true, he still has an obligation to his customers.

    1. People around here don't seem to be big on communicating. Not uncommon to hear stories of people showing up hours and even days after a scheduled appointment.

  6. It's a nationwide problem and even prescribed meds don't help. Sorry for your car problem, especially since they have your check.

  7. When I started reading this my first thought was to call the police. I hope he is telling the truth about his grandmother and that it all works out for you.

  9. I still want to see a picture of you in that new car, so hopefully they will get it to you so you can model it. Tell them it's extremely important that you have it for a photo shoot. If not, there could be a shoot out!

  11. I would demand a full refund of my money. I think the car might have been a no sale to them. I don't know if the police will get involved but its worth a try. Attorney General is a good bet but may take to long.
But happy to hear you are still able to enjoy the good life

    1. I have an infinity for trusting people until they give me reason not to and at this point I think we can blame all the problems on communication. We'' see how this thing resolves itself.
