Last night I was invited to a neighborhood block party where about 20 of us gathered to solve the most pressing problems of the day. It was well attended considering the number of folks that have arrived.
This morning was my first trip to the doctor since being back in town. I stopped by last week and gave them a bunch of blood to play with and today I returned to see what they had learned. The doctor was pleased with all the numbers and was more than pleased that the diabetes remained under control. The blood pressure was elevated a bit from the last visit and I can't for the life of me understand what stress I've encountered in the last two weeks that might have caused that. Overall a good review and things are in order.
After the trip to the doctor it was a stop at Wal-mart to buy a few additional items to fill space in the pantry and now I'm back home for the duration. Just settling back and enjoying the good life.
Your blood pressure may not be a result of stress, but diet. When John changed his diet, his b.p. went to normal and he is off meds.
ReplyDeleteThe doctor and I are working on diet, but old habits die hard.
DeleteGreat news about your blood workup. Isn't it nice to have a run-around vehicle?
ReplyDeleteHard to hold back now with wheels and a good checkup, watch my smoke.
DeleteGlad to hear your tune up went well.
ReplyDeleteThanks, as you age it's always good to get an encouraging word from a doctor.
DeleteBeing able to go to the doctor for a check up is much better than the alternative. Nice that you're firing on all cylinders.
ReplyDeleteNow put that good life in high gear and let that blood pressure drop to where it is supposed to be. Smell a rose or two. :c)
I've got to smell the roses to encourage others to enjoy the good life.
DeleteAt least it looks like everything is coming together now. You don't need any more stress and glad the blood tests came out with flying colors.
ReplyDeleteThanks, a visit to the doctor is always better with good news.
DeleteGood for you for keeping the diabetes under control. It can get the better of you all too easily.
ReplyDeleteProbably shouldn't celebrate with a candy bar, huh?
DeleteGreat news from the Dr. Happy for you now to get the stress down and I know now that the car thing is under control so will the stress.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo,. Seems like as I age a trip to the doctor is always an adventure.
