First we looked north and it's not hard to tell why this is called the 'hill country' of Texas.
Then it was a walk of a little over a quarter mile to the south to view the Blanco river which is about 40 feet below the bluff we are standing on. Perspective is a little hard to see in this picture.
These are steps that were carved out of the rock to get down to the river. I expect someone spent more that an hour and a half on this project.
One person has built their dream house just on the other side of the river.
After all this exploring energy was expended it was time for the ballgame which went the Cards way. No game today so who knows what might occur while enjoying the good life.
We had so much fun in that area. People have no idea of all the different geographical diversity. I think it has just about everything anyone would want.

DeleteIs that really a single family HOUSE? Looks more like a...oh I don't know... a resort or a retirement home (I should be so lucky!). Guess some folks have more money than sense.

DeleteThe song sez "God shed His grace on thee". I have always marvelled at my birth State.
ReplyDeleteI marveled at my home state and then found out it applies to the whole country. What a treasure we are blessed to live in.
