More wind

The wind continues to blow, but has diminished to only 20 miles per hour, but it is a chilly wind it is. Last night we dipped to 54 degrees and this morning when I kicked on the furnace on to warm the chill I was greeted with the new furnace smoke cloud as it burnt off the oils of packing that always come with a new unit. After racing to pull the battery from the smoke detector I was at full alert and ready for the day. I am now going to have to run the furnace a bit at a time to get it properly seasoned  without crossing the fine line of asphyxiating myself.

We were able to brave the wind and chill this morning for our regular problem solving session at Clay's place. We were joined by Loren and Charles and with this amount of brain power assembled in one place the problem solving went rather quickly and we were able to finish up before the chill overtook us.

Today will be spent listening to some more of my Twain CD's while I continue to enjoy the good life.

  1. Send some of the cool wind here, will ya? Easier to enjoy the good life when the humidity doesn't suck the life out of me!

    1. Exactly my plan, fresh air is good and if it gets too hot outside, I'll just shut it down.

  4. We have been chilly for the past two mornings AND evenings. We have some rain now, which I think you sent our way. Fall is definitely in the air here in Ohio.

  6. I hate the smells from the propane furnace in my RV. I bought a small Eden Pure electric heater and am very happy with it.
