Hard to believe

Yesterday I received an e-mail from Progressive Insurance. After this years big claim and knowing that it was renewal time I was just a little reluctant to find out how bad the news was. I finally bit the bullet and clicked it open to find out that my premium was going down and not by just a little bit, by $125.00 to $725.00 a year for a full-timers policy. Astonished, I immediately got on line and paid the bill before they thought about it and changed their minds. Remember, these are the same folks that kicked in an extra $500.00 to Baker RV's repair estimate for the blowout, because they just thought it was too low. I guess I'll be a loyal customer for awhile.

Today is again weekend mode time  and again my four teams are playing, 1 baseball and 3 football. Problem is they are all playing between 6 and 8 pm. There is a real good chance I'll have a strained clicker thumb by late this evening.

For the rest of the afternoon I guess I'll indulge in one long siesta  to prepare myself for the endurance contest tonight. It's still the best way I know to enjoy the good life.

  3. I would have been really worried about the insurance and what a pleasant surprise. Wish ours would go down but probably not. Enjoy your games and put a brace on that thumb.

  4. Someday, you'll probably be able to switch channels without using your thumb, won't that be great? Nice news on your insurance premium, but don't be getting any big ideas about filing more claims this year.

    1. No intention of filing more claims, but I did plan to do it this year either.

  5. That is amazing and wonderful news. Insurance usually drives us nuts. We need it but hate paying for it! So glad you got an early (maybe) late birthday surprise.

    1. It is always nice to receive a surprise when it's in you favor, most of them go the other way.
