Fredricksburg, TX

After a restless night with lots of wind howling about and then a neighbor who started his diesel pusher at 6:00 am and proceeded to let it idle for 45 minutes I was ready to move. I started the morning off fighting a 30mph crosswind but about 100 miles down the road it lessened and I decided to keep trucking east. I have landed in Fredricksburg Texas and plan to spend a couple of days checking out the area. The most famous resident of the old German community would be Admiral Mimitz and that is my target for tomorrow.

The rest of the day will be spent unwinding, restoring some color back to my knuckles and enjoying the good life.

  1. I hated driving the MH in the wind. I understand the white knuckles. We both going on and adventure tomorrow. Have fun on yours.

  2. We really enjoyed Fredericksburg. We stayed at Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park and RV Park. Beautiful area. We loved the town of Fredericksburg.

If you like hikes, we did Enchanted Rock. I was petrified but the view from the top is super.

Also, Luckenbach, Texas, isn't too far from there. Population 3. You will meet some neat characters there.

    1. I was hoping to enjoy it too, but it looks like we are in for some rain.

    2. Fredericksburg is one of our favorite places. My father was from Kerrville so we've spent plenty of time in that area. However, I don't like the wind no matter where it hits!
