After sitting around all day under threatening skies yesterday the rain finally arrived last night about 10:00 pm and we were treated to a nice gentle rain that lasted the entire night. When it was finally finished we had accumulated 8 tenths of an inch of the wet stuff. We are still under the threat of rain and the skies are still overcast. The other result of the rain is the humidity has risen from the normal 10% to the 60% range which doesn't add much to the comfort index.
Clay and I were able to meet this morning after the showers, so problem solving has been completed for another day. I also made a stop at the office to check in with Skippy and give him his daily treat. So with all this activity behind me I'm in a position to spend the rest of the day watching the thermometer rise while enjoying the good life.
With that much rain, the frogs were in danger of drowning!
ReplyDeleteAround here we don't get enough rain to have frogs, only toads and they were heading for high ground.
DeleteI've got to get caught up with you. Is Skippy a dog or a campground manager? ;-)
ReplyDeleteSkippy is the managers dog who thinks he's in charge.
DeleteAll dogs think they are in charge ... LOL. My small army does.
ReplyDeleteAnd in a lot of cases they're right.
