Planning the day.

The brain trust has dwindled again. This morning Loren and Marilyn headed for Alaska. Being one member short might lead many to think this would skew the problem solving abilities of the group. However, this is not the case. We still have more than enough opinions and brain power to keep the problem solving going or to blow the average nose.

After this mornings meeting it was decided that today's schedule needed to be worked to find what is to be accomplished today. It was discovered a mopping of the floor was long overdue and I set out to rectify this. The project was a success and I now no longer have to scurry across the floor to prevent sticking in one place.

I also confirmed Mel has an appointment to go into the shop next Tuesday to have some surgery done, this should make him road worthy so we can head for Hannibal. I talked to my Progressive claims representative yesterday and he has everything needed to complete the claim and should have a settlement figure for me today. Progress is being made (or in other words, Progressive is progressing), but then again, that's what the tortoise said to the hare.

This afternoon will be spent recouping the energy expended in mopping the three square feet of linoleum this morning and then we will be back to enjoying the good life.

  1. Like you, I'm overdue on cleaning the kitchen floor. It's amazing how long I can put off that job. And I don't mop, I get down on my hands and knees with paper towels and some spray stuff, it takes about 5 minutes total, including putting away the spray stuff. But still, waaaaay overdue! :)

Glad your insurance is progressing. I don't know if I've commented before that I also have Progressive, so I'm happy they are treating you well. I hope to never use mine, but if I do, it will be nice to know they are good to work with.

    1. Isn't amazing how we can procrastinate when if we would just get on with it would be done in minutes.

  2. Why do you have to do everything in one day. Why don't you do half the floor today and half tomorrow. This way you won't wear yourself out! We women have to think of everything.

    1. Hadn't even crossed my mind. Next time I'll know. All this would be solved if my maid would start showing up.

  3. You have one of those maids too. I'd fire her but she never shows up.

Good to hear your getting Mel fixed and you will be on the road shortly.

    1. It is just so hard to get good help these days and then they don't show up so you can fire them.
