The new Phone currently showing 2400 minutes and service through July of 2014.
This morning my next door neighbor, Clay, has company. His son Mark and his girlfriend from Idaho have dropped in for a short visit. Today, Clay is playing tour guide and has taken them to the most interesting town of Chloride, NM. The highlight of this town is the Pioneer Store which operated until 1923 when it was boarded up and abandoned with all its merchandise just left sitting on the shelves. It sat that way until 1989 when it was reopened by the current owners as a museum of how things were in the past. It is a fascinating journey to walk through this store. Another fascinating thing about this town was that in 1923 this remote little mining town had a Harley Davidson dealer. Never would have guessed that. If you click on Chloride, NM you can read the history of the town.
Weekend mode is upon us which means all the frantic activity we though about doing during the week now comes to rest. The rest of my day will be devoted to trying to figure what to do with my new phone if it rings and trying to enjoy the good life.
Yup, that sure looks like the same phone that I have. You have a lot more minutes on yours than I have on mine. Maybe I should call you!!
ReplyDeleteThey make a lot of different styluses for use on these small screens, and tablets. I use one on my Kindle Fire, otherwise I can't do anything. I tried it on the phone, and it does work better than my fat fingers. You might find one, and try it.
Wouldn't it be just as easy to stick my finger in an electric pencil sharpener?
DeleteYou need to use the side of your finger, not the entire pad of your fingertip. It does get easier to hit the right buttons.
ReplyDeleteI probably just need to hire a teenager to type for me.
DeleteChloride sounds just like a place we seek out. I love to authentic items of the time.
ReplyDeleteGood luck with the new phone. You know...as we getting older the learning curve becomes a bit skewed.
You're right about the learning curve, I figure I'm not far away from a VCR permanently flashing 12:00.
ReplyDeleteNice phone but to techy for me. I like simple. I know someone who bought one of those and then had to buy a pointer thing to hit the keys. She never got the hang of the last phone
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the little town I love history.
Hope your weekend mode stays right where you want it.
Hi Jo, actually the phone is pretty simple compared to what's out there, even I got it on the first try.
ReplyDeleteChloride is a neat little town and if you ever get a chance stop in for a visit.
Have a good Sunday.
