Day 2

Okay so here's the deal, I started off the day yesterday with the intent of doing nothing and I pretty much accomplished my goal, but by the end of the day I found that I had not quite done enough nothing to satisfy my intentions. So today's plan is to finish doing nothing with a little more intensity. This morning started off with Clay and I solving some of the worlds problems. With a shortage of two members of the brain trust it requires a bit more effort on out part, but we pretty much conquered the immediate problems. Then Clay's son Mark and his girlfriend arrived on the scene and we chatted for a bit before I retired to Mel for an afternoon of TV sports.

Today's fire update shows the Whitewater/Baldy fire has continued to grow. We still haven't had too much smoke pollution in this area, but the smoke has sure produced some beautiful sunsets. Here are yesterdays pictures.

Now it's on to a full afternoon of doing nothing while enjoying the good life.

  1. If you were so intent on doing nothing you messed it up by helping to solve the world's problems. Still a good way of Enjoying the Good Life. Be Safe and Enjoy!

    It's about time.

    1. Using my brain in many circles is considered 'doing nothing'.

  2. We could be working in the yard today but have decided to do nothing by taking a nice drive up the McKenzie Hwy and commune with nature. The world's problems seem so much smaller when you're sitting by a beautiful river.

    1. Good plan Donna, I'm betting that yard will still be there tomorrow.

    1. That's what a 278,000 acre forest fire can do. I guess there is some good in everything if we look hard enough.

  4. It's too bad that the pretty sunset is the result of a forest fire.

    1. Actually the fire is good, no injuries, only 11 structures and it's cleaning out the forest. Should make for a healthier forest.

  5. Thanks to your leadership and guidance, we had a very enjoyable day looking at rivers in the wild. Sun was shining, we did pass by a practice "burn" with some smoke and lots of fire equipment. Nothing like you've been seeing...but the best we could do. Thanks for providing us with another inspiration in our quest to "take life by the horns, and ride, or drive, or maybe just sit awhile."
