Mixed day

Today started out with a roaring wind that caused me to pull in the slides so I could get some sleep. It was so windy that I was thinking of using suspenders to hold my underwear in place. I went for a short 10 minute walk and the pedometer said I had lost a quarter of a mile. After all the wind about noon it stopped abruptly and switched to a dead calm and the thermometer began to climb. We are at 85 degrees and the humidity has jumped to 20%  which is about 10% higher than it's been the last week. There is not much going on today in the park. Some visiting has been done with Clay, Loren, George and then Charlie and a trip to the office to see Skippy the office greeter and Joy and Larry the work campers from my hometown of Hannibal, Missouri.

As the sun continues to rise I think it's probably switch to siesta mode so that I'll be ready for tonight's eclipse. Not over doing it is another part of enjoying the good life.

  2. Enjoy some of these slow days. They make up for the hectic ones.

    1. Kind of nice that after 5 years on the road I've learned to control the pace.
