Big day

Today has been a big day. First Loren and I visited with Clay for awhile and then we headed downtown where I was able to flatten my wallet at the tire store. Six new Firestone's are on the way which will be installed on Tuesday. Next a little more visiting with Clay and then George called and needed Loren to follow him to Deming to drop off his truck for some service work. So off to Deming we went. On the was back a mandatory stop in Hatch was made at Sparky's. Here are pictures of Sparky's understated decor.

They do have good food though.

By the time I returned to Cedar Cove several of Clay's family had arrived and the conversation was animated and the stories were flying. It looks like it's going to be a good night enjoying the good life.

    1. Hatch is the Chili capital of the country, they even have green chili milkshakes. The guy who owns the restaurant is in a running battle with the city council about his decor with them thinking he's ruining the towns image. Every time they complain he adds something more tacky that the last. Small town politics at it's best.

  2. Why would they think such a thing. He is bringing dollars to the town. Or is it to him? Anyway I think its fun. Council people have no sense of humor anyway.

    1. I can understand Ronald outside a hamburger joint, but what in the world is the Colonel thinking.
