The curse

Today the ugly laundry curse again reared its head and forced action on my part. One advantage to being here late in the season is that laundry room access is readily available. Today there was only one other kindly lady from Iowa sharing laundry duties with me and her conversation helped to pass the time rather quickly.

Now that the laundry is finished it will be time to hunker down until the heat of the day passes. Expecting 94 degrees today and that is not the most pleasant temperature with the air conditioning not working and the air conditioning won't work until the shroud, which contains a fan, is replaced.

With the laundry finished for a couple of weeks we can now concentrate on enjoying the good life.

  1. Great Minds think alike. I did laundry while Kathy did vacuuming.

What a way to enjoy the good life.

    It's about time.

    1. Rick, if you start thinking like me you should be afraid, very afraid.

  2. Sounds to me like you need to get a bigger laundry hamper to put your dirty laundry in...then you could go a lot longer between laundries!!! Of course, that might mean buying more T-shirts and such, but you could avoid that by not changing clothes very often!! Course, that has it's own draw backs, and people around you might begin to make you uncomfortable. But, on the bright side...at least being "shoeless Joe" you don't have to worry about having a whole bunch of dirty socks piling up in the laundry!! And besides that, standing in front of those dryers will prepare you for the heat outside!!!

  3. Oh no, no a/c in that kind of heat is not good. I hope the nights are at least cool. How soon do you think it'll be fixed? I hope your doc soon releases you so you can move to cooler grounds soon.

  4. I would have lost my mind with that kind of heat inside. I would have had to have at least 4 fans blowing on me. I am such a whimp when it comes to heat anymore. Hope those parts show up nice and eary tomorrow and they bring them right over.

    Good Luck

    1. Jo, I'm not able to loose something that was lost so long ago. There was a decent breeze all day which helped things.
