Shop till you drop day

Today was the day to head out to Wal-mart to stock up on supplies and to retrieve the prescription the doctor called in yesterday. Well the stocking part went well enough, but the medication part not so. Wal-mart was out of stock and had to order the Simvastatin and it wasn't supposed to arrive until after 2:30 this afternoon. Any one that knows my work history knows I was in management with J C Penney for 11 years and that I am now the type shopper who will never spend any more than the minimum time than absolutely necessary, so the prescription will have to wait for another day. I was still able to remove several moths from my billfold so I guess it was mission mostly accomplished.

The rest of the day will be devoted to enjoying the good life with nothing planned.

  1. Wal-Mart is a good one stop shop...too bad you have to go back to get the Rx. Oh well, you'll probably find something else you need when you go back. It's all a conspiracy you know!!

    1. Scripts are called in by the doctor here. 90 day supply with a years renewals. I use Wal-mart so they can be renewed anywhere I happen to go. Hard to use mail when on the road.

    2. It is hard but I have little choice when I get my refills from the VA. they will only mail to your home of record and I can not be changing that every 3 months. So mail forwarding is the alternative.

    3. Mail refills won't work for me with my travel schedule.
