Refer stopped

Much to my surprise yesterday afternoon I noticed the refrigerator had stopped producing cold and there was an error message on the control panel. Checking the error code I was able to determine that...the refrigerator was no longer producing cold...most helpful. A little investigation revealed that the propane tank was empty and a switch to electric was made. Today is the day the propane man usually comes through the park so I am on watch for his arrival. This sort of limits how far I can stray from Mel until he gets here.

While waiting I will continue to work on the software I purchased yesterday. The program is a medical record information software that is designed to transfer your medical information to a flash drive so you can carry your records with you at all times. The program is called MyMinerva and to me it makes sense, not only for full-timers, but any one who travels away from home. We ran into a little snag installing on Mr. Acer, but technical support was right on the job and is working on a solution.

This afternoon is on hold waiting for the propane man and the software solution, but I will still have time to enjoy the good life.

  1. I know it's a pain switching back and forth but studies have shown it cheaper to run the refer on the plug then on the propane.

    It's about time.

    1. Actually it is no problem at all on my unit. A push of the button does it.However depending on the cost of propane vs electric will determine what's cheapest. Lots of discussion on RV.net

  3. Glad it was only that it ran out of propane and not because it malfunctioned.

MyMinerva sounds promising to keep my mother's records current. I just hate having to fill out the same paperwork everytime we go see a new doctor.

  4. Hope the propane man showed up early so you can leave Mel for a walk or something fun.

  5. Do you pay utilities there? I set my fridge on auto, that way, it chooses depending on what's available. And I too am glad that it was only because of propane & nothing else. I had to have a new fridge installed last year. They are expensive as is the installation!
Good luck with the new program.

    1. I do pay for utilities here and there is a formula for choosing which is cheapest. Here propane is cheaper than electric so I use propane.
