This morning I did what I probably should have done weeks ago. Having decided that the Rio Grande Valley was now my winter home I finally acquired a doctor to take care of my medical needs while I'm wintering in the Valley. Any of you who full time know that one of the things missing from a regular life style is a regular doctor. Well I now have one, at least for half of the year. We started our relation by removing half my blood (6 vials) and him throwing a surprise urine test that I didn't even have time to study for. So far every thing seems to be in order and I still have temperature, blood pressure and pulse. I will go back next week for the results of the testing.
All this activity this morning has left me drained (literally) so I believe a nap is order. Being poked and prodded by the medical community is just part of enjoying the good life.
Yearly check-ups may be a pain in the but are a necessary part of keeping healthy, and isn't being healthy part of Enjoying the Good Life!
ReplyDeleteIt's about time.
Couldn't agree more guys.
DeleteHope you get an "A+" on all your tests!
ReplyDeleteThanks Donna, Hard to get an A+ when they don't let you study.
DeleteRick and Kathy said what I wanted to say. At least we are on the same page. You will pass I know.
ReplyDeleteThanks Jo and thanks for stopping by.
DeleteIt is always a good idea to have a local doctor specially if you plan to stay in a place for sometime.
ReplyDeleteWhile I tend to go to doctors in Mexico since they are easier on the pocketbook, I make sure I also have my American doctor. We learned that the hard way with my dad.
