That's what occurred yesterday when I commented on the nice blue skies and the sun , it was a premature utterance. Within an hour the clouds had rolled in and the weather began to go south and we ended up with rain most of the night. It is still raining the day has been washed out.
This morning the folks who have been my neighbors for the last month, the Cajuns, pulled out as a group and headed for home which left three empty spots next to me and three across from me. Lots of vacant real estate in my neighborhood right now.
The big event in the park last night was the Valentine dance and the election of the park king and queen. As it is almost impossible to motivate two left feet into any form of rhythmic behavior I gave the whole event a miss. Today was supposed to be the parade around the park for the royalty. I'm hoping it might be postponed to a nicer day. Jim, the manager, said the bad thing about this parade is when the Iowans hear the tractors they are motivated to head north to plant something.
We are still going to make an attempt to spend the rest of the day enjoying the good life.
