This afternoon I will be preparing Mel for a run tomorrow to Kingsville. I want to get the trip out of the way before Thanksgiving rather than get involved in the madness after the holiday.Other than that we will just enjoying the good life.

12" RAIN
This morning I awoke to another one of those famous 12 inch south Texas rains. You know the type where there is just enough rain that the drops fall twelve inches apart. The only real effect was to make things pretty muggy around here with the temperature in the mid 80's and the humidity in the 70% range. The clouds are still pretty heavy, but there are a few patches of blue in the distance so I'm not sure how the day will progress. I just saw a notice in the rec hall that Thanksgiving has been called off because of lack of interest. I sure most of the folks here would rather play golf than eat turkey.

I wonder if we'll get the same kind of 12" rain tomorrow here in Anahuac?
ReplyDeleteI'll send it your way Judy, I know you need it there , too.
ReplyDeleteYou can always join us for Thanksgiving. We don't cancel holidays. MM
ReplyDeleteWOW no turkey day! What kind of people are they anyway. Hey you can just pop on over here and I will feed you.
ReplyDeleteThanks MM and JOJO for the offers. 1,000 miles to Tucson and 1,200 miles to Decatur, IL. Sounds like an expensive drive to either dinner, but thanks for the thoughts.
ReplyDeleteYou almost had me there for a minute, lol. First time I have heard that kind of 12 inch rain before :)
ReplyDeleteHaha, I was thinking 12" of rain & I thought, what? Why didn't I hear of this? ;-) We finally got rain last night & this morning in the Houston area.
