Falfurrias, Texas

I got on my horse and rode today. 270 miles to be exact and I'm now in my winter home,  I'm in my site and the electric is hooked up. The rest of the set up will wait until tomorrow after an energy replenishment. Meantime here are some more Monday pictures from the Living Desert Zoo in Carlsbad.

 Next were the prairie dogs which I could sit and watch for hours.

 Apparently they felt the same way about watching me.

There was lots of chatter when I arrived on the scene.

 This guy wasn't to be disturbed.

 By the time I got there it was late afternoon and everyone was in the siesta mode.

 This elk was in time out for bad behavior during rutting season.

The cats will be tomorrow. The rest of the day will be spent in recovery mode, but I have been enjoying the good life.
