Yesterday I tagged along with Loren and Marilyn to the Sierra County fair. After a quick tour of the exhibits and time for Loren and Marilyn to get their flu shots we met up with Tammy and Dennis and decided it was in our best interest to inspect the new ice cream parlor in town. It turned out the place has received our stamp of approval. The only problem Dennis found was they claimed their ice cream was hand dipped and as it turned out they were really using a scoop. All things considered the scoop is the preferred method. Some of the sights from the fair.
The merchant exhibits.
A deal that was hard to pass up.
A really teeny horse.
We saw lots of chickens.
And more goats.
Only a couple of horses.
A beautiful western themed quilt.
The best of show quilt.
More of the western theme.
The midway.
The rest of the midway.
Yesterday was a fun day and today is a prep day. Two different ways of enjoying the good life.
That grey horse looks a little like an old Hinny we used to have back when I was a kid. Enjoyed the pictures Joe.
ReplyDeleteI love the quilt with the wild horses. Quilts take lots of time, if they are still made by hand sewing. Today so many are made by these new fancy machines.
ReplyDeleteLooked like a great day.
Have a safe trip tomorrow.
I can't wait to see the new slippers and skirt! Picture soon?
ReplyDeleteI agree with michael. How's your tutu?
ReplyDeleteBy the way, thanks for following my blog. :)
Guys, the deal was hard to pass up, but I did. Just a check to see who's paying attention.
