Del Rio Texas

This morning I cooled my jets a bit and settled on a 100 mile run to Del Rio. Now I will take a couple of days to enjoy the scenery and relax by Lake Amistad. The park I'm in has good WIFI so I will be able to catch up on the weeks travel or at least part of it. 


The second stop of the day on Monday was in Lincoln New Mexico, site of the Lincoln County War. Billy the Kid was the most famous participant and this is the last place he was jailed and where he made a jailbreak before being killed two months later at Fort Sumner by Pat Garrett.  This was where the jail was located on the second floor the Billy the Kid Made his escape killing two deputies on his way out.

The last stop on Monday was in Carlsbad at the Living Desert Zoo and Gardens which we will look at tomorrow. The rest of the day will be spent in relaxed mode while enjoying the good life..
