Figuring things out.

This morning I awoke to find that blogger, the program this blog is written on, has under gone an overnight revamping. Today's challenge appears to be relearning how to use the editor to create my blog. Having used the same basic format for the last 4 years it will be a stretch to expand my pea brain to encompass all this new learning.

Yesterday I received my Amazon order and one of the items was a new ceramic space heater. It seems rather odd to get a space heater on a 100+ degree day, but I will be happy I did sometime in December or January. I have, in the past, always heated Mel with propane. This year I will use the space heater and see how the cost works out.

Another item received yesterday was a new police scanner. I have always had an interest in police, fire and ems work even before my computer company designed the 911 system and installed the computers for Hannibal/Marion County 911 system. This is just a way of keeping in touch. However I have found that scanner systems have gotten a lot more complex that in the old days where you just typed in a few frequencies and away you went. So with the new blog format and the new scanner programming my poor little brain will be working overtime today. I'll have to be careful not to get brain cramps or worse yet have a brain blowout.

Last nights chicken fried steak at the Legion was more than filling and the company was enjoyable as well. The Legion also had next months calendar and it looks like every meal will be worth attending.

At least there is a ballgame this afternoon at 3 o'clock that will give me a bit of a respite and allow time for enjoying the good life.

  2. My blogger changed a few weeks ago. I really dislike changes. Like you said the brain can't cope. I was hardly able to use the old one. Anyway I think I got the hang of it. But I still can't see my followers. :(P
Hope you enjoy your new toy.

  3. I'm suffering from brain strain tonight, but a good nights sleep will help.
