Problem solved

As a male of the species part of our code is a built in reluctance to ask for assistance. I might possibly ask for directions when reaching the edge of the world right before I fell off the edge and notice I said might. The same is true of something as simple as a bandage on the back. Although I had arranged with someone to assist me the stubborn streak still persisted and I continued to search for a method I could use on my own to solve this delima. A search through Mel's drawers and cupboards uncovered a new and previously unknown bandage remover.

A lot of folks would classify this as a spaghetti spoon, but it has now been reclassified as a 'back bandage remover' and has become a permanent part of my medical kit. Necessity is still the mother of invention.

This morning was cleaning day and there is still laundry to be done, but I will postpone the laundry until tomorrow so that I can spread that part of enjoying the good life over two days.

  1. So I guess this means you do not have to replace the bandage. I sure hope you didn't scratch yourself to bad with that thing, or pull out any stitches. :)

  2. No stitches pulled, no scratches. I just got under the bandage and off it came. Stitches are self dissolving so it's just sit back let the healing begin.

  3. What you have there is a multi-purpose tool. That is one fine spaghetti spoon, bandage remover and back scratcher.

Well done, I have a similar tool that was originally sold as a long handled wooden spoon. It has become an ointment spreader for my back as well as a back scratcher. So if you need to apply any ointment to that incision keep the back side of your spaghetti spoon in mind.

  4. Thanks Ed, I'll add ointment spreader to the description.
