Arrival noted

I have officially arrived in New Mexico and it has been noted by the rain gauge. Yesterday we had .62 inches of rain and folks are applauding my efforts. Fortunately Loren and I got back from the trip to Spaceport America before the real heavy stuff came down.

Spaceport America is still in the construction stage so getting anywhere closer than about 3 miles is just not possible, that is, unless you are willing to shell out $60.00 for a van ride around the construction site. We were able to find a hill and with my super Canon I was able to snap a couple of shots of the buildings under construction.

This is our location as seen by my regular Mr. Canon.

Super Mr. Canon saw the Air, Fire and Rescue facility a little clearer.

This is the Terminal Hanger Facility where you will board when you come to take your space flight. You can place your reservation by clicking here. The deposit is only $20,000 for the $200,000 flight.

Today we are overcast and it looks like more rain is possible so it might be necessary to enjoy the good life from indoors.

  1. JOJO, the camera is actually a Canon PowerShot SX30IS. and since I got mine I know of 3 others who have purchased one and all seem satisfied. Great camera in my humble opinion.
