Tomorrow is the scheduled departure day, but I don't have to be in Hannibal until the following Wednesday. That gives me a week to go 250 miles. I have been studying available campgrounds between here and Hannibal and there aren't a lot of choices. The decision has been made to stay right where I'm at until next Monday and then make Hannibal a two day trip, arriving Tuesday night.
The geese are still here this morning and I think these are the new, lazy variety of geese that have become urbanized and no longer take the trouble to migrate.
Instead they just hang out in one place until they are chased off.
Today's plan is to beat the heat through the benefits of air conditioning and enjoying the good life.
You know you could have come to the Riefesel Campground and stayed.
