Amana, Iowa

Yesterday Mel got started heading north and didn't stop until we reached Amana Iowa. The first chore on arrival was to climb to the roof and repair the satellite dish. I was relating the problem to the camp host when I was checking in and he had fixed his problem the same way I planned. Take the dome off, rotate the dish a bit to free it up and replace the dome. It worked like a charm.


I did arrive in Amana in time for the country's birthday celebration and they did a bang up job (pun intended) of celebrating.

We have paid for two days here and will decide tomorrow how much longer we will stay. Plans are to tour the town tomorrow and see what there is to do. Today we are going to sit back and enjoy the good life.
