Blown away

Today we are enjoying the coastal winds everyone talks about. Wind is from the south in the 25 mph range and we are completely overcast. The winds are supposed to pick up this afternoon so it will be a good day to secure one's hat when venturing out. The temperature is in the lower 70's right now and we are heading for the 80's later today.

This morning I spent a little time on the computer researching the King Ranch, which had it's original start just up the road in Kingsville. Currently the ranch is 825,000 acres and at one time was over 1 million acres in size. That's just a bit bigger than Rhode Island. Currently the ranch houses approximately 60,000 head of cattle and they maintain about 2,000 miles of fence line. Quite an impressive operation.

There is nothing on the agenda for today, but then it doesn't take much on the agenda to enjoy the good life.

Hope you are well. You sound happy and satisfied. Good Luck and fair winds to you....
