Plesant surprise

After trying for a week I was finally able to get in touch with my cousin David and his wife who live here in Grand Junction. As an added bonus my second cousin Marjory and her husband Eric and there three children were visiting Uncle David from their home in Chicago. The eight of us decided the dinosaur museum would be a good activity for the kids and a nice place to meet to start the day.
Marjory, Eric and the three bambinos.

While at the museum I spotted a couple of things I didn't get pictures of the first time around.
This old ore car graces the entrance.
And the working paleo lab where people were busy working over samples.

After the museum visit it was time for food and the folks who had driven half way across the country from Chicago decided the a visit to the Old Chicago Pasta and Brew was in order, go figure. We had a nice meal and the visit was very enjoyable.

Today we are doing the laundry we didn't do yesterday and some other chores in preparation for getting under way tomorrow.

Visiting with family is certainly one of the better ways to enjoy the good life.

  1. Nice you got to see some of your family and at such a wonderful place. If I didn't live on a beautiful island in Washington State I'd live in Grand Junction, great town!
