Good ride cowboy refers to a song written by Chris and recorded by his friend Garth Brooks.
Two views of the statue
Just a reminder, all pictures I post can be enlarged by double clicking on them.
This old buckboard occupied a corner of the park.
From there it was across the street into the business district for a look at the town museum. The Hoof Prints of the Past Museum celebrates the history of the town that is located just east of the Hole in the Wall of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid fame.
The main business district, the museum is to the right.
The first building on display was an old schoolhouse.
The exhibits in the school were all of the time period.
There was also an early cabin on display.
The interior wasn't very large and in this part of the country with winters being what they are I'm sure this little cabin would lend itself very well to 'cabin fever'.
A modern kitchen, a few years ago.
The town jail was still intact.
The interior of the main museum was filled with lots of western artifacts, some of these ancient artifacts were so old they were used when I was a kid.
Today we are sitting in Kaycee and will not get under way until tomorrow. Then it's off in the direction of Rawlins Wyoming. Exploring small towns is just another way to enjoy the good life.
