Yesterday I had started to download the updates for Mr. Garmin from Cool RV Toys and ran into a snag. I kept working at it and finally figured out a solution to the problem. Once I got by the problem the rest of the download went very smoothly into the computer. The upload from the computer into Mr. Garmin went just a smoothly and for a few moments it almost looked like I knew what I was doing. Mr. Garmin now has the latest information on campground, truckstops, RV service facilities, national parks and all the other good stuff that comes with the program. We should be able to locate anything we need when in search of adventure. GPS is sure a wonderful thing, especially the part about not having to fold it back up after use, like a map. Samantha, the lady inside the GPS, is very gentle and doesn't scream and yell when I make a mistake. This is different than some the other navigators I've had.
This morning I have been pondering whether or not the doctor will let me go on my way on Thursday. Being thinned skinned is not conducive to stitches and every one of them around my eye have already popped out. I'm hoping the doctor will decide to just let things heal naturally and send me on my way. A little scar won't affect what's on the inside and my outer beauty is beyond salvage, so I see little consequence in taking this course of action. We'll see Thursday.
This afternoon we will again be enjoying the heat from inside at the temperature heads to 110. In talking with some of the locals yesterday I heard, more than once, comments about how cool it's been so far this season. Their definition of cool is not the same one I use. I guess 110 is better than 125 though. Even with the heat the effort will be made to enjoy the good life.
Hi John,
ReplyDeleteI'm not sure how tall Mel is but my 5er is at 12'. Here's a cool little GPS POI download for low clearances, http://www.lowclearances.com. As soon as I get my new Garmin this is going into it.
