Nothing is happening around here today so I've made my own activity. Mostly I've been on the computer, answering email and looking at maps and dreaming of places to go when I leave here. I also watched a Discovery channel program on Death Valley. I found out that Death Valley only gets about 2" of rain a year, but a lot of the time it comes all at once and causes some serious flash flooding. Lake Havasu City doesn't fare much better in the rain category with annual rainfall of 5.5 inches. I've seen a few raindrops, but nothing to wet the ground.
I also made a trip to the office this morning to remind them I have a doctors appointment in the morning which will determine whether or not I leave tomorrow. I had a nice visit with Lori and Ron who are running the place while the owners, Leif and Lillian, have returned to their previous home in Denmark to visit with family.
The rest of the day will be spent with more thermometer watching from indoors in an effort to enjoy the good life.
