Repairs complete

Yesterday afternoon the RV repairman showed up and we again have a working toilet. It seems as though the hard water in Zapata did a number on the flush valve, filling it with calcium. After disassembling and cleaning the valve it was put back together and seems to be working like it was supposed to. A test over the next few days will verify this. I also added another set of filters to my water system. I now have a triple water filtering system. Hopefully this will solve some of the future problems.

The temperature overnight was down into the 50's, which is typical of the desert environment. Cool at night, but warming dramatically during the day. Today we are heading for 90 degrees. I still haven't made the trek downtown and probably won't today because the Cardinals are playing at noon, by the time the game is over the temperature will not by conducive to taking a stroll.

The excitement around here yesterday happened about noon when a boat launch went terribly wrong. On starting the boat fire broke out and the result was one destroyed boat and the air filled with black, toxic smoke. The fire department was quickly on the scene, but there was little they could do.

Today's pictures will try to set the scene of where I'm located. The park is on a rise just above the Colorado river and looking across at California. We are surrounded by mountains and just about a mile from downtown Lake Havasu. Here's what things look like.
From the edge of the RV park, looking west.
Looking southwest.
Looking northwest.
Another view.
Lots of flowers in the area. This is just one.

The day will be spent enjoying baseball and maybe a walk around the neighborhood with serious effort put into enjoying the good life.
