I'm counted

The last couple of days here at 4 Seasons has seen a flurry of activity as the census takers have arrived like a herd of locusts. I completed mine last night after a worker stopped by around 5:30. I was a bit surprised by the questions asked because at no time did they ask me where my home address was. They just wanted to know where I would be on April 1st. I would think this would cause a lot of northern states to be under reported and the southern states to be over reported with all of the snowbirds that are still in the south.

Today winter continues to hang on and we have only reached 65 degrees and wind gusting to 20 mph. It is supposed to be 87 today, but it is really going to have to hurry to get there. This mornings walk took me down by the lake and it was noticed with all the rain we have had that the lake is on the rise. This time of year the lake is normally falling as water is drawn off to irrigate crops in the Rio Grande Valley.
This area to the other shore was dry land two weeks ago.

This afternoons excitement will be at Joe's place where we will be able to gather and watch the replacement of the windshield on his pickup truck. The repairman is coming from Laredo and probably has no idea that he is this afternoons entertainment. Sometimes simple things can lead to enjoying the good life.
