Yesterdays excitement in the park was up by the office when Shirley and Marvins fifth wheel caught on fire. Apparently the control panel on the refrigerator shorted out and up it went. Fortunately they were home at the time and were able to control the fire before it got out of control. They spent the night in a rental unit and are waiting for the adjuster to see what's going to happen. The have a lot of smoke damage and when the refrigerator melted down it released the ammonia refrigerant. It was fortunate they were home when it happened and damage was minimized, but they still have a mess to contend with.
Today we have a beautiful day, as a matter of fact it's so pretty I am going to do a load of laundry. I want to get it out of the way so I can enjoy the rest of the day. The next couple of days will be spent making preparations for getting under way. I don't know exactly when I will be hitting the road, but I want to have everything in order for when I decide to venture forth. Such things as airing the tires, washing Mel, securing the cabinets are needing to be done so there is no rush at the last minute. This is all part of enjoying the good life.
