Last night the wind switched around to the north and it looks like we are in for another day of rain. We have already had one burst that left a tenth on an inch behind. With the wind change we also had a temperature drop and we are back in the 60's.
Last night Larry and I went to El Paraiso for supper. I had their world famous and best in Texas Country Style Chicken Fried Steak. This is their accommodation to the gringos from the north. It actually has mashed potatoes and corn instead of beans and rice. A little Midwestern touch, deep in the heart of Texas.
Today Annis and Harley have invited a group of us over for a BBQ. They wanted to do something to thank us for our help with Harley's broken leg. Of course none of us thought we needed to be thanked and were more than happy to help where we could, this is the kind of people Harley and Annis are. That's what makes them such good neighbors.
Sal and Shelly returned from Florida late last night. It was late enough that I haven't seen them yet this morning to find out how the trip went or to return their keys, but I'm sure we will get together later in the day. They continue to trust me with the keys to their motorhome when they are away, even though I constantly make reference to the rental income achieved.
Form the looks of the sky it looks like the rest of the day will be spent avoiding raindrops in an effort to enjoy the good life.
