Hurry up and wait

Today we are in the wait mode. Waiting for the new toilet to arrive. This morning, before it got too warm I got busy and did some maintenance on Mel. The silicone spray was retrieved from the storage bin and all the slide seals were properly conditioned. This is to keep them supple and to prevent rain from penetrating inside when the slides are extended and it rains, not an uncommon event in my travels. Then the slide grease was retrieved and the running gear on the slides was properly lubricated. Next my attention turned to the water intake system. For the first year and a half I have been using water pressure regulators purchased at Wal-Mart for around $10.00 They did an adequate job of restricting the water flow to the point where it took a couple of minutes to fill a 2 quart pitcher. Well the other day I broke down and purchased a Watts water regulator. This is a $65.00, top of the line regulator and all I can say is the difference is amazing. This was installed this morning along with a new in-line water filter and we now have water that is pure with a decent pressure. The next piece of business was replacing the valve handle on the grey water tank. This was a relatively simple job once the fat body was lowered to the ground underneath of Mel. I was able to complete the job and regain an upright position without the need of road service.

Now I will be able to spend the rest of the day enjoying the good life.
