Today we moved from
Macomb to
Rantoul Illinois. We found a nice RV park just south of the old airbase. Their is an air museum in town and I've decided to spend a few days here checking things out. With the holiday coming up it is probably best to hold still a few days to avoid being part of the congestion on the highways.

Today I crossed old Route 66 just
south of
Bloomington,
Il. One of the sights was the Dixie Truckers home which has been a fixture on Route 66 and now I-55 for many years.

The rest of the pictures are from yesterday's visit to
Nauvoo.

Free Conestoga wagon rides are given around the area.

This is the Browning Gunsmith shop. Yes, the same Browning who's rifles were famous throughout the west and are still popular today.

One of the original homes.

This was a drug store and market.

One of the original log homes in the town. More tomorrow.
