Tucumcari tonight

Today's journey from Vaughn was a nail biter. I had a quartering wind all the way and it was a struggle to hang on to Mel. I'm now in Tucumcari, NM in an RV park that is right on historic Route 66. Tucumcari was an important stop on Route 66 in it's day and they still retain a lot of the flavor of the Mother Road on their main street through town. I am going to walk uptown and grab some pictures of some of the old buildings.
