Royalty departs

This morning the king and queen of the winter Texans, Vern and Delma, left for their home in Kansas. They were going to leave yesterday, but deferred to the wind. We've had reports from others who left in the last couple of days and they have dealt with lots of wind. Jim & Sue said they were averaging 5 mpg on their way to Oklahoma City and Jack and Janice, who left yesterday morning averaged 38 mph on their way to Waco. Vern and Delma's daughter, Karen, came down to accompany them on their trip home. They have already made plans to return next year and if all goes well Vern will celebrate his 90th birthday with us here next year.
