Pioneer Village, day 3

This morning is cool and rainy. It has rained here all night and is supposed to rain all day. I'm glad I went back over to Pioneer Village yesterday afternoon and finished seeing all the exhibits because today wouldn't be a good day to be outside. Here are some more pictures from the village.

The Lowell train station. From 1872 until 1882 this station served as the western terminus of the B&M Railroad

A really beg steam locomotive.

A really small steam locomotive.

The station platform.

A collection of handcars.

Another view of the really big locomotive.

The village school.

Inside the school.

A sod house. With all this rain they will probably have to mow the roof.

The china house.

Part of the collection.

More of the collection.

It was a large collection.

I'm talking large.

The church, built in 1884 it is still used today.

A view inside the church. This was the first Church in Minden and it still has the original pews, pulpit and organ.

Another view.

The baptismal font which is original to the church and was imported from Europe.
