Carlsbad Caverns
I spent this morning in Carlsbad Cavern. The tour began with a drive from Carlsbad the last seven miles of which were straight uphill. Mel had to work a little, but didn't work up a sweat. The next part of the journey was a 750 foot elevator ride underground. From there it was a two hour underground walk around the 'big room' which is an 8.2 acre underground room.
