Fort Davis, TX

Who said Texas is flat? I'm in the town of Fort Davis and the elevation here is 5,050 feet above sea level. That is just 700 feet lower the Denver. Today I took a detour off I-10 through the town of Alpine and then on to Marfa, famous for the mystery lights (see below) and back up to historic Fort Davis. I plan on taking a couple days to explore the old fort. I spent about three hours there today and will be back tomorrow.
