This mornings wake up temperature here in Elephant Butte was 27 degrees. No matter what you say I don't consider that springtime weather. This global warming thing is testing me because I have worked hard all winter to thin my blood with warmer temperatures. We're counting on a warm up to begin today and and continue through the weekend. I was finally able to put the flag back up today because the wind has finally subsided. That's the good news for today.
Activity is limited with the lowered temperatures, but there still has been some visiting and stopping by the office to gather with some of the folks in the lounge. We will still persist as we work on enjoying the good life.
You will have to learn to hibernate between now and next Winter, John. There's a lot of good eating when you come out of hibernation, too!
ReplyDeleteActually Russ, it was colder this morning than I've seen it all winter in the Valley.
Delete29 this morning at the Davis Mountains State Park. I rolled to Brantley Lake north of Carlsbad. Nice 65 today heading up starting tomorrow. Sure am glad to be back in the desert. Say hi to Clay for me if he is there.
ReplyDeleteI hope it warms up, this is too cold on the wimp scale. I'll tell Clay you said hi.
DeleteI think ya'll need to stay on the west coast! Very few freezing days here in the valley (in winter) and it's supposed to be up close to 80 next week. Of course we don't need to talk about the incessant rain!!
ReplyDeleteI'm concerned about rust.
DeleteYou sure have had a bunch of challenges in trying to enjoy the good life. :cO
ReplyDeleteLife is a challenge, I'm just a reporter.
DeleteI will be in colder weather tomorrow about 23 but it will warm up soon I just know it.
ReplyDeleteAs soon as you find some warmer weather send it this way.
DeleteHey John, it's cool here in the Valley this morning too; 54 when I walked at 5. You hang in there, your journey is just beginning. Looking forward to reading about your adventure.
ReplyDeleteWarm up on the way...I hope. Thanks for visiting Pat.
