We arrived yesterday about 3 pm and got settled in our site. Spent the rest of the day watching Cardinal ball and visiting with friends who dropped by. This morning I woke up to the smell of juniper and pine as a reminder I am back in the hills of New Mexico. Here are some views from Mel's spot. Lots of eye candy and with the pine and juniper nearby, nose candy too.
The morning haze still hadn't burned off the hills.
View to the west.
And another view.
Tomorrow I'll set the wheels in motion for getting the repairs taken care of and in the meantime there is plenty of catching up to do. Of course we'll work in a Cardinal game this afternoon to make sure we enjoy the good life.
I like driving through the hills of NM with the RV windows open.
ReplyDeleteSure smells good doesn't.
DeleteOne of the things I enjoy about central Oregon is the smell of juniper. We don't get that here in Eugene but the fragrance around Bend and Sisters is wonderful. Of course I love the smell of any forest or open land...better than a city any day.
ReplyDeleteNatures air freshener.
DeleteGlad you made it & are all settled in now. Enjoy the company of old friends while there!
ReplyDeleteThe best part is the friends you make.
DeleteWe love that area. It is so beautiful. Enjoy the view.
ReplyDeleteI certainly will, thanks.
DeleteNice open views you have there. Hope repairs go smooth.
ReplyDeleteThanks, the repairs will be in good hands. A trusted RV repairman that I've done business with for the last five years.
DeleteI'm looking forward to visiting Elephant Butte this year. It's on my list while heading north. Everyone seems to like it there, and I'm sure I will, too. Glad you're getting settled in.
ReplyDeleteI think you will enjoy the area, also checkout Chloride while in the area.
