The five lovely ladies pictured below conspired yesterday to put together what was by all reports, a scrumptious meal for the folks in J-5. A Swiss steak diner with all the trimmings was offered to the park resident for the outstanding price of free. The asking price assured that the rec hall would be filled to capacity and it was. I had to pass because I had already ingested my daily quota of calories downtown while waiting for the car to be finished, but I heard I missed a great meal.
Some very talented and hard working cooks from the left, Shirley, Laurie, Judy, Cecilia and Pat.
Today is the start of the Big Ten tournament at noon, so I've got a full schedule for the next few days, but in my opinion this is a beg part of enjoying the good life.
Goooooo OSU!
ReplyDeleteJust not all the way, unless we both get to the championsihp.
DeleteToo bad you had to pass up that meal. Haven't made swiss steak in a long time but it sure wounds good.
ReplyDeleteWhen I went over to take the pictures it sure smelled good too.
DeleteDid they at least save the dirty dishes for you to wash and burn off some of the calories you ate waiting for the car?
ReplyDeleteIf they did they forgot to tell me.
DeleteDid you at least make it back for your game?
ReplyDeleteGood thing you decided to get your alignment checked
Of course, I would have carried the car back so as not to miss the game.
DeleteYou didn't even get a bite of that Swiss Steak? It sure sounds yummy to me. Free is always best and especially when someone else is cooking.
ReplyDeleteIt's elbow to elbow when it's free.
