More critters arrive

Yesterdays continued rainy weather caused an alteration in the overhead flight patterns and caused the grounding of a herd of geese right here in the campground.

They immediately took over the meadow and the area around the pond. and set up housekeeping.

Once settled in they began to become very territorial  and unwilling to share their area with the rest of us.

The weather improved this morning and the herd was cleared for takeoff, but so far they decided today is an R&R day.

Today I'm starting to make preparations for hitting the road on Wednesday. I have decided to head to Walcott Iowa to get Mel a bath and then I'll travel down US Highway 61 along the Mississippi river and back to Hannibal for the medical appointment the following Wednesday. Just like Ike and Tina I'll be rolling down the river enjoying the good life.

  1. You are going to be traveling the 'Blues Highway'. I wish I could ride along.

  2. Watch out for those geese they can be mean. Maybe they will leave tomorrow if you are lucky. :)
